Woodland Rotary - Woodland Endowment

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Club's Annual Dinner Auction was held virtually for the first time. Under President-elect Dan Stroski's leadership, our goal was to complete fundraising for a new scoreboard at Woodland High School which began in 2020.

The event was very successful. We took in total revenue of $50,450.00 and had $12,009.20 in expenses. View the preliminary Financial Summary below for details. The net proceeds, $38,440, are more than enough to complete the new scoreboard.

Your choice of a beautiful print is offered. Our own Roy Holmes is once again offering a beautiful custom photograph taken and finished by his so Dan, who is a professional photographer. This year, the successful bidder will be able to choose from Dan's collection called "Stories of Light 2021". The successful bidder can select the print size, up to 24 inches by 36 inches. The print will have a matte finish, be permanently mounted and laminated on a hard-plastic backing board, and ready to hang. The winning bidder also receives two boxes of photo note cards (4 cards per box) with various pictures by Dan Holmes.

Falconry Hunt - this hunt is for up to four people to accompany two experienced falconers who will be hunting with three Harris Hawks in Yolo County. These trained hawks hunt jackrabbits, cottontails, and pheasants. Most of these hunts result in one or two jackrabbits being caught. There will be walking involved. This is a rare opportunity to meet the birds and falconers and witness these magnificent birds hunting in a group. No meals will be included unless you like rabbit. Our hunting season ends the first week in March and resumes in September.

After the birth of her third daughter she decided to obtain her personal training and spin certifications so she could spend more time raising her children. She has been in the Health and Fitness industry for the past fourteen years. She has a passion for exercise and healthy lifestyle; it's all about balance. Her goals as a trainer are to encourage, energize and inspire her clients to push themselves. She trains her clients with focus, enthusiasm, and uses a variety of training methods which provide effective and efficient workouts designed for each individual client. Join this 21' Rouge Jet Coastal 200hp Mecury Outboard and have a day fishing with 4. You pick the location - SF Bay (Halibut); Rio Vista Delta (Strippers); Sacramento River (Colusa/Knights Landing); Lake Comanche (Trout); or Lake Berryessa (Trout, Kokanee).

Bring your fishing license and will furnish the rest. Lunch, snacks, jerky, salami, drinks!!! and all the bait and tackle are on me while fishing from this boat built in White City OR in 2015 for the Fish Sniffer Magazine. If you want to bring the kids, I will also bring Rice Krispy Treats and Cheez-It crackers. "Louie" is powered by the Merc outboard with Merc 9.9hp kicker and Mindota electric trolling motor makes this a fun day. If we don't catch fish we are going to look good on the water.

Depending on when we arrange a time will depend on where we should go, but I am sure we can find some open water. No matter where we go it would be about 1.5 hours from Woodland to water and the day is yours. You will be accompanied by 3 of your family or friends in hopes that we will be catching ...Not fishing!
