Thank you for your interest in becoming a Rotarian! Rotary International is an association of individual clubs, with each club operating autonomously. Rotary is a global network of more than 1.4 million people in more than 46,000 clubs who share a passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives at home and around the world.

In 2026, the Rotary Club of Woodland, the original Rotary club in Woodland, will celebrate its 100th anniversary of service. As part of this milestone, we are undertaking a 100 Acts of Service campaign—an effort to complete 100 meaningful service projects by June 2026. This initiative highlights both our long history of service and our commitment to building a better future.

Membership in Rotary

Rotary membership is extremely important to us. We welcome individuals who want to serve their communities and uphold Rotary’s values of integrity, fellowship, and service. Membership typically begins with an invitation and sponsorship by a current club member.

Our clubs strive to reflect the communities we serve by embracing diversity of age, background, and experience. Whether you’re a business leader, an entrepreneur, a professional in any field, or simply someone with a heart for service, you’ll find a place in Rotary to grow, connect, and make a lasting impact.

Benefits of Membership

Rotary membership offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the community, build valuable personal and professional connections, develop leadership skills, and gain a global perspective through humanitarian service. Just as important, it offers the fellowship of like-minded people who value service, friendship, and making a positive impact together.

About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Woodland meets Tuesdays at noon for a lunch meeting that frequently includes a program speaker. We also host fundraising and community events throughout the year. Our projects have included scholarships for local students, supporting hospitals, and funding, building, and improving public spaces such as Rotary Park at the Yolo County Fairgrounds, the Woodland Opera House, and the Yolo Food Bank. Rotary is also deeply engaged in worldwide humanitarian efforts, including the global campaigns to eradicate polio and to eliminate cervical cancer.
