Album Name: 2021 Dinner Auction Return to Albums
Album Date: Feb 20, 2021
Description: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Club's Annual Dinner Auction was held virtually for the first time. Under President-elect Dan Stroski's leadership, our goal was to complete fundraising for a new scoreboard at Woodland High School which began in 2020. Preliminary results indicate the event has generated at least $35,000 in net proceeds, more than enough to complete the new scoreboard at the Woodland High School Stadium. Many thanks to our sponsors, donors and members for making this event successful!

For dinner members ordered takeout meals offered by Cracchiolos and Kitchen 428; and took them home prior to the program beginning on Zoom. Design of new scoreboard for Woodland High School's Stadium At 7pm our virtual program began. President-elect Dan Stroski prepared an extensive video presentation highlighting the Club. The presentation featured a welcome by Club President Tabb Randolph. We thank our sponsors who helped make this successful event possible!
Work by the Club in the community, like members reading to youth during Woodland Kids Read, was highlighted. Members were thanked for their service Then our own Master Auctioneer Kevin Haarberg was introduced, and the auction bidding began. Kevin took us through 20 different items. The subsequent pictures in this album highlight the broad range of items offered this evening. We are thankful for our donors! Our first auction item was golf at the Yolo Fliers Club. We were fortunate to make similar golf offerings at Yocha Dehe, Del Paso Country Club, and El Macero Country Club later in the evening. There was a clear sense of Ireland offered in this year's auction.
We were thankful to offer a framed photograph by professional photographer Dan Holmes, son of Roy Holmes, once again. We were honored to auction off a donation from Alyssa Nakken, first female coach in MLB history. Our Wagon of Wine, with donations from Club members, was very popular. We were fortunate to have several other offerings of fine wine in this Auction. Using his charm, wit and the occasional 'needle', Kevin kept things moving all evening long. President Tabb Randolph and wife Nancy again offered a golf and lodging package at their place in Truckee.
We were thankful to offer Blair and Jan Voelz's farm tour again this year. Since the pandemic had limited our exercise options this item of outdoor workout sessions with trainer Shelley Hunt was very popular. This new Seka Hills offering from the Wintun Nation Tribal Council drew attention and several bids. Our most popular item this year was a day fishing trip offered by Eric Sharp. With bidding so active, Eric agreed to offer the trip a total of FOUR times at $1,000 each! Thank you Eric!! When the auction items were all sold, the drawing on the Winner's Choice Raffle was held. Congratulations to our winner Jane Martin!
