There will be a meeting of all clubs involved on the 19th of July and The Pres wishes to have a good accounting of our club. The Interact club is to begin the new school year soon and Chair Bob Tamblyn is looking for adult advisors. I believe our new member Allison Pearks has volunteered.

President Nakken asked for a vote to honor Wim van Muyden with a honorary membership. Passed with much enthusiasm.

Allison Pearks the Advertising manager of the Daily Democrat was welcomed into the club. Welcome and congratulations to you Allison.

Recognition

George Berrettoni took the mike asking what famous people celebrate a birthday today. Allison Pearks, and Mark Werum could not guess but evidently Carey Sullivan had read the paper and knew the answer. Geoge called upon Gary Bunch and announced for all to hear that he could not see his bald spot in the mirror. Members were honored by their Rotary anniversary. Before 1950, Bob Griffith,

1951 to 1960 Frank Gardner and Peter Faye, 1951 to 1970 Bob Seney (after some one woke him up) and Don Smith. 1971 to 1980 George Berrettoni and in 1984 Tom Schwarzgruber.

The meeting was interrupted by the ringing of George's cell. It was none other than Scott Johnston from Scotland. From our side of the conversation it appeared to be a hair joke and some other comments, the jist was Scott and golfing crew will pay George's fine when they return. George then went on to ask if anyone  read the Rotary Magazine. There is a recognition of Bill Hollinshead and  a great history of the Four Way Test.  He then went on to remind our new President to repeat this mantra."I RUN THE CLUB".  Bob Tamblyn was happy to have attended the Shrine Convention in San Antonio Texas, Don III took dad fishing, Karen Hedington traveled to LA with daughter, Christian (don't  make eye contact with George)  has a new house. and it is a good thing his wife is a Chiropractor. Tim Pettit went to a Dental golf outing in Reno and the President volunteered $5.00 for insulting George.

Rags to Riches

Our new member Allison won a free lunch.
