In a nutshell...

•  The program is coordinated at the District level.  The clubs can sponsor outgoing and incoming students.  The students typically go during their junior year, outbound around early Aug, returning home around early July.  
•   It works best if we have sponsor an inbound student and an outbound student the same year, but that is not a requirement.  
•   Club(s) pay $750 total for an outbound student (local student going overseas).  Support for an inbound student (from overseas) falls primarily on the host families (hopefully three, to rotate during the year and give the student a variety of experiences).  
•   There is significant lead time involved.  Students are identified about a year and a half ahead of time, e.g., spring 2017 for those leaving ~August 2018.
